The exquisite perfume Neroli Sauvage, crafted in 1994 by sixth-generation perfumer Olivier Creed, pays homage to the marvelous neroli flower, which has long enchanted with its intoxicating fragrance. It was named after the luxurious and incredibly beautiful town of Nerola, located near Rome. It was here, in a magnificent castle surrounded by fragrant gardens, that the beautiful Duchess Anna lived. She hosted the most vivid, captivating, and memorable summer parties in Italy, where men and women would rub neroli flowers on their necks and hands, suddenly enveloping themselves in an incredibly refined scent.
The bright citrus accords in the composition are harmoniously complemented by the noble earthiness of sandalwood and gray amber. At the heart of the fragrance composition lies a symphony of intoxicating, sharp, and rich notes of neroli, accentuated by the mesmerizing freshness of bergamot, petitgrain, lemon, verbena, and grapefruit.
