The latest fragrance from the American perfume brand Bond No 9, named Astor Place, was launched on April 1, 2009. It is the 34th fragrance created by the incomparable perfumery house of Laurice Rahme, in honor of her dearly beloved magnificent city of New York. The creator of the fragrance, Laurent Le Guernec, was deeply inspired by the rich history of New York’s neighborhoods, streets, and even individual buildings. Astor Place, the westernmost edge of the East Village, is where in 1967, at the corner of Lafayette Street and Fourth Avenue, sculptor Tony Rosenthal erected the spinning black cube known as “Alamo,” considered a symbol of free art.
The fresh and intoxicating Astor Place embodies the true scent of spring in the big city. It is a breath of fresh spring air, bringing warmth after a long and grey winter. Light, fresh, and warm, this fragrance is designed to bestow a sense of joy and exhilarating happiness upon its wearers. Its unobtrusive universal character is equally appealing to both reserved men and charming women.
The delicate floral composition begins with notes of mandarin and violet, followed by heart notes of iris, poppy, and white freesia, and concludes with an accord of amber, musk, and teakwood. Bond No 9 Astor Place is perfectly suited for daily use.
