Actinic Control MD with SPF 100 - a certified medical product for the prevention of actinic keratosis and non-melanoma skin cancer. Additionally, it is used for the supplementary treatment of actinic keratosis.
Ultraviolet damage to the DNA in keratinocytes can lead to actinic keratosis. Actinic keratosis is the most common precancerous skin condition, which, if untreated, can progress to non-melanoma skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma).
The high efficiency of Actinic Control MD is ensured by its high SPF 100. The higher the SPF, the more UVB rays are blocked, which are the primary cause of cell damage. The more UVB rays are blocked, the less cell damage accumulates on the skin when exposed to the sun. For instance, SPF 100 blocks about 99% of UVB rays.
