Connoisseurs of the Parfums Berdoues Maasai Mara scent will undoubtedly experience an air of exoticism. The notes of the South African buchu plant, revered by the local population for its miraculous properties, are said to resemble the scent of an African stone, yet far surpass it in intensity. Even in minuscule concentrations, they imbue the perfume with a fruity, spicy, and warm, animalistic undertone. The bittersweet scent of buchu, with hints of citrus, mint, and black currant, intertwines with the rich green notes of African ivy and Ethiopian coffee beans, which merit a special mention. A historical fact: monks, who were the first to use the "reviving beans" to boost their energy and stay invigorated throughout the day, initially simply chewed them – the effect was nearly identical to that of the modern beverage. The Ethiopian coffee beans included in the composition have a unique history: an Ethiopian shepherd grazing his herds noticed that after chewing the small red fruits of coffee trees, the goats were more spirited and produced more milk. Thus, coffee beans began to be consumed as food, initially chewed and later brewed and roasted. This new perfume is imbued with the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee, which harmoniously blends with sharp and fruity notes.
