The M-in-M Activator for DIP Powder is a specialized product that solidifies the base coat imbued with Dip powder, thereby preparing it for buffing and the application of the finishing sealant. M-in-M Dip powder serves as an alternative to gel polish, which is why it is often also referred to as gel powder. The prefix Dip (Eng. to dip, to immerse) overall describes the method of working with the material - the nail coating is done by immersing the nail into the powder.
The technology of coating nails with Dip powder involves the direct use of the Dip powder itself, as well as three essential, non-interchangeable products, specifically:
- Base Gel - a special base coat applied first to ensure a high-quality, reliable adhesion between the colored coating and the natural nail, while protecting the nail plate;
- Activator - a product that solidifies the Base Gel soaked with gel powder, also ensuring the durability of the coating;
- Top Gel - a finishing gel that seals the gel powder and all previous layers, adding durability and providing a beautiful glossy shine.
It is also worth noting that Dip powder excels in nail extension over tips, quickly, efficiently, and reliably.How to use:
1. Perform a manicure, prepare the nail for coating, thoroughly degrease;
2. Apply a thin layer of the base coat, avoiding contact with the cuticle and the sidewalls;
3. Without waiting for the base coat to dry, dip the nail into the Dip powder;
4. With a soft brush, sweep away any excess powder from the nail;
5. Apply the activator to the nail, wait for it to fully dry (about 1 minute);
6. If desired, for a more intense color, repeat steps 2 to 5;
7. To level and achieve a smooth surface, buff the nail;
8. With a lint-free wipe or brush, clean the nail from dust;
9. Apply 2-3 thin layers of the finishing coat, wait for it to dry (about 1-3 minutes);
10.If after drying, the finishing coat feels tacky, apply a thin layer of activator to remove the stickiness without damaging the surface.
The coating done with Dip powder can be removed using a standard liquid for removing gel polish.
When coating long nails with Dip powder, it is recommended to additionally strengthen the nails. To do this, simply cover the nail with a layer of transparent gel powder (steps 1 to 4) before applying the colored gel powder, leaving a 2-3 mm gap from the cuticle.
