The test detects elevated levels of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) in the blood (above 5 mIU/L). A TSH level higher than 5 mIU/L indicates hypothyroidism, which can cause changes affecting the entire body's functioning. If a positive result is obtained, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
The blood test for elevated levels of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) serves as a screening test to assess thyroid function. Exceeding the upper limit of normal TSH indicates hypothyroidism. Situations when the test is conducted include: prevention of hypothyroidism, unexplained weight gain (without changes in dietary habits) or difficulty in losing weight, individuals at risk (women aged 25-55, older adults, young mothers), symptoms of hypothyroidism (chronic fatigue, drowsiness, mood disorders), skin problems (dryness, peeling) or hair issues (brittleness, excessive shedding), infertility, anovulatory cycles, and heavy menstruation.

1. PREPARING THE KIT: Remove all test components from the packaging. Then, open the aluminum pouch and take out the test strip and the blood collection pipette. Prepare the lancing device without touching the button: twist the gray cap until you feel it detach from the lancing device—do not pull. Continue twisting (2-3 turns), then remove and discard the gray cap.
2. CONDUCTING THE TEST: Use the lancing device to obtain a drop of blood. Collect the blood with the pipette (do not squeeze the bulb of the pipette!). Place the end of the pipette on the blood drop, allowing it to naturally migrate to the marked line on the pipette. Transfer the collected blood to the sample well on the test plate and add the diluent.
3. READING THE RESULT: After 10 minutes, read the test result according to the instructions provided.
