TESTER - A tester is a demonstration version of a fragrance that is provided by manufacturers with a batch of products for promotional purposes at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (such as the quality of the fragrance, its persistence, etc.) between the tester and the retail version! The difference between them is that since testers are produced for promotional reasons, the manufacturing company does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in what is called a plain box (a simple cardboard box, different from the one used for retail bottles) and often do not come with a cap.
