The "Badiaga Scrub" gel exfoliates dead skin cells from the upper layer of the skin, deeply cleanses pores, giving the skin a healthy appearance. It stimulates blood circulation, prevents the appearance of acne, and reduces the process of sebum secretion. The plant components of the scrub: badiaga, aloe, and calendula simultaneously cleanse, tone, and nourish the skin. The gel possesses active resorptive and bactericidal actions, stimulates blood supply, dilates blood vessels, providing a rejuvenating and refreshing effect.
Badiaga (Spongilla lacustris) belongs to the type of sponges (Spongia) and is part of the group of silica sponges (Cornacuspongia, fam. Spongillidae). Traditionally, it was used as a ground powder of the sponge, containing silica, which has needles that penetrate the upper layer of the epidermis, causing local irritation of the skin cover, expansion of subcutaneous capillaries, and deeper lying blood vessels. This facilitates the activation of superficial blood supply, alleviation of local pain, and resorption at the affected areas. The use of badiaga leads to the local release of biologically active substances: autacoids, kinins, histamine, prostaglandins, which contribute to the healing of damaged tissues, resorption of scar tissue and densifications, as well as restores local immunity and skin protective functions.
Aloe and calendula contain a multitude of active substances such as anthraglycosides: aloin, nataloin, rhein, emodin, resinous substances, enzymes, phytoncides, vitamins A, C, E. Extracts of these plants enhance the regenerative processes in tissues, normalize microcirculation and the delivery of oxygen and nutrients necessary for skin cells, and have antiseptic and bactericidal actions.
