The fragrance of 2014 was created as a final chord in collaboration between the renowned perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri and the house of Nasomatto. For this niche fragrance brand, he developed a whole collection of unusual, and often scandalous, scents. Take for instance "Absinthe" or "White Chinese" — perfumes named after an alcoholic drink and a drug, respectively. Perhaps, as a nod to the end of their collaboration, the Nasomatto Blamage fragrance combines and reminds one of several perfumes from this brand with its shifting notes.
It can confidently be called the apotheosis of scandal: according to the legend, Alessandro chose six components with his eyes closed for this perfume, and then combined them in such a way that each variation harkens back to a specific perfume from this house. The first accord that unveils itself is spices, which sit closely to the skin, making the heart beat faster. Then, wood takes a powerful role, drowning in rich smoky notes. The vibrant "heart," however, becomes calmer after a few hours, giving way to a base of delicate balsamic, which completes this extraordinary composition.TESTER - A tester is a demonstration version of the fragrance that manufacturers include with a batch of products for the purpose of advertising at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (in terms of fragrance quality, durability, etc.) between a tester and the retail version! The difference lies in the fact that since testers are released for advertising purposes, the manufacturing company does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in what is called technical packaging (a simple cardboard box, different from the one used for retail bottles) and often do not come with a cap. This results in the lower price of testers.
