TESTER - A tester is a demonstration version of the fragrance provided by manufacturers along with a batch of products for promotional purposes at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (such as fragrance quality, durability, etc.) between the tester and the retail version! The only difference is that since testers are produced for promotional reasons, the manufacturing company does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in what is referred to as technical packaging (a simple cardboard box, different from the one used for retail bottles) and often do not include a cap. This results in the lower price of testers.
