Bergamot essential oil, with its yellow-green hue and fresh aroma, boasts an array of benefits for the human body, including antioxidant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, antifungal, mildly bactericidal, sedative, antidepressant, analgesic, antipyretic, cholagogue, deodorizing, insecticidal, and mildly toning effects.
The oil's properties are geared towards stimulating leukopoiesis, reducing blood cholesterol levels, and strengthening vascular walls. It helps normalize the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands, and narrows pores. It stimulates metabolism and heart function, as well as sexual activity. It enhances skin tone, refreshes, and brightens it.
How to use:
For rinsing, use 3 drops of oil per 1 cup of water.
For massage, creams, and tonics, incorporate 2–5 drops of oil per 10 grams of base.
For a cold compress on the calf muscles, use 10 drops per 200 ml of water.
For sunbathing products, add 3 drops of oil per 100 ml of base.
