TESTER - A tester is a demonstration version of the fragrance provided by manufacturers along with a batch of products for the purpose of in-store promotion. Please note that there are no differences (such as the quality of the fragrance, lasting power, etc.) between the tester and the retail version! The only difference is that since testers are produced for advertising purposes, the manufacturing company does not package them as carefully: they are offered in what is referred to as "technical packaging" (a plain cardboard box different from the one used for retail bottles) and often do not include a cap. This accounts for the lower price of testers.
