Imagine a time machine exists, and you've landed in an era where people traveled by carriage. Picture the scene: tall, fit, strong men dressed in tweed suits with leather lapels, preparing horses for their journeys. Such a scenario might seem fanciful and amusing to you. Hermes loves to highlight its status and remind us of its history (the company originally specialized in the production of materials for carriages and equestrian sports). This was accomplished through the creation of the exquisite perfume, Equipage.
It was created for Hermes by perfumer Guy Robert in 1970. It combines notes of bergamot, lily of the valley, clove, jasmine, pine, rosewood, tonka beans, vetiver, and patchouli. The composition starts with bursts of bergamot and clove, followed by floral notes. All the components are mixed together, transitioning to a trail of vanilla, vetiver, and musk.
TESTER - A tester is a demonstration version of a fragrance that manufacturers provide with a batch of products for promotional purposes at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (such as the quality of the fragrance, its longevity, etc.) between a tester and the retail version! The only difference is that since testers are produced for promotional reasons, the manufacturer does not package them as carefully: they are offered in what is called technical packaging (a simple cardboard box different from the one used for sale bottles) and often do not come with a cap. This results in testers being priced lower.
