Mat; homme eau de toilette by the Masaki Matsushima brand was developed by the Japanese designer Masaki Matsushima in collaboration with the perfumer Jerome Di Marino. According to the latter, the creation of the fragrance was inspired by the modern urbanism of Japan's big cities, where architects blend raw concrete with elements of Zen. Thus, the composition and design of the bottle embody typical urban landscapes.

Top notes open the composition with a contrasting trio: the sparkling overtones of lime and lemon are accentuated by the spicy play of Sichuan pepper.
Heart notes replace the bright introduction with woody motifs of cedar, intoxicating lavender, and resinous variations of elemi.
Base notes unite with sensual impulses of guaiac wood, the softness of cashmere, enveloping warmth of cinnamon, velvety rose, and thrilling saffron.
