The paired fragrances L'Eau d'Issey Shades of Kolam by Issey Miyake emerged as a result of an extraordinary journey and unprecedented collaboration between perfumer Marie Salamagne and the artist duo from Twice Studio. These three designers met in Chennai, in the very heart of India's Tamil Nadu, with a singular purpose – to explore the captivating art of Kolam and to create a new version of the legendary L'Eau d'Issey fragrance based on their discoveries.
This sunny, floral, and airy composition encapsulates the delicate colorful arabesques of Kolam – where notes of Indian jasmine intertwine with the ephemeral petals of roses.Top notes: grapefruit, freesia blossoms, and a hint of cardamom. The main middle note - Indian Sambac jasmine, enveloping all five senses. The light scent of Centifolia rose mirrors the movement of petals. Base notes: powdery, milky basmati rice (a rice superior for perfumery) with a sophisticated urban hint of cedar.
