Quercetin is the most potent antioxidant among flavonoids, belonging to the group of vitamin supplements known as group P. 

Quercetin acts as a "defender" of cell membranes against the effects of free radicals, strengthens the walls of small vessels (capillaries), and is thus used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
