The creation of the Jasmine Kusamono perfume from the Prive collection by Giorgio Armani was inspired by the Japanese art of kusamono micro-landscapes, a classic example of which are bonsai trees. The fragrance embodies the same idea as the kusamono masterpieces: refined complexity in content with minimalism in form.

The top notes immediately envelop you with the intoxicating sweetness of pear, accentuated by pink pepper. Following them, at the heart of the composition, is the magnificent scent of jasmine at dusk, when its petals surrender to the evening coolness all that the bright daytime sun has whispered to them. Accompanying it is a delicate trio of fragile orange blossoms, enchanting lily of the valley, and sambac – a unique variety of jasmine which, unlike the classic jasmine, unfolds its petals at night. This palette is highlighted by the woody base notes that last long into the night – fragrant cedar, sensual musk, and a slightly smoky sandalwood.
