Apply your makeup: if you plan to use eyeshadow, apply it first, then lightly coat your lashes with waterproof mascara. Take the false eyelashes and "fit" them to your eyes. If the strip is too long, trim it with scissors. You can also shorten the length of the lashes if needed. Warm up the lashes by holding them in your cupped hands or wrapping the strip around your finger to make them more flexible. Apply the adhesive: the proper way to apply false eyelashes is to put the glue directly on the lash band or cluster, not on your eyelid. You can use a toothpick or cotton swab for this. Wait 20 seconds after applying the glue to let it thicken slightly. Attach the strip starting from the outer corner of your eye, pressing for about 20 seconds so the glue can set. Use tweezers to position the strip as close to your natural lash line as possible. Finally, apply eyeliner and another coat of waterproof mascara to blend your natural lashes with the false ones.
