The creator of the trendy American brand Bijan, Bijan Pakzad, was born in Tehran in 1973 and moved to the United States thirty years later. Three years after his arrival, he opened his exclusive boutique in Beverly Hills, notable for its requirement of appointments before visits. Bijan's clientele has included famous politicians, designers, and actors—Ronald Reagan, Tony Blair, George Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Oscar de la Renta, Giorgio Armani. The perfumes created by Bijan are uniquely distinctive. His fragrances have received international awards and even a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
In 1986, the world was introduced to the delicate and refined Bijan Women—a vivid fragrance for women that accentuates the elegance, femininity, and hidden sexuality of its wearer. The scent blends oriental and floral motifs. The composition begins with gentle and sensual notes of basil, neroli, ylang-ylang, bergamot, narcissus, and orange blossom. The heart notes resonate with the sweet scent of honey, delicate carnation, dizzying jasmine, tuberose, refined lily of the valley, orris root, and Bulgarian rose.
