Thoroughly rinse the sponge before its first use. Before each subsequent application of foundation or any creamy product, soak the sponge under warm running water. Squeeze out the excess water from the sponge, then proceed to apply the product. For hygiene purposes, wash the sponge after each use (preferably with a bar of soap) and allow it to dry completely. Do not seal a damp sponge in containers, drawers, bags, etc. Ensure it dries in an area with good air circulation. The sponge can be disinfected with appropriate disinfectants. It is recommended to replace the sponge every six months at most.
