The Library of Fragrance Frankincense is a full-bodied, rich, woody, and spicy expression of a classic perfumery note. It's so classic, in fact, that the Bible mentions it as one of the three types of gifts that the wise men brought to the baby Jesus.

Frankincense is harvested from the lean, yet resilient, Boswellia sacra trees by making incisions in the bark, a process known as striping, and allowing the exuding resin to flow out and harden. There are several types and varieties of frankincense, each producing a slightly different kind of resin. Variations in soil and climate contribute to even greater diversity in resin, even within the same species.
