Hydrolates or hydrosols, also known as floral waters, have recently become fashionable products in natural cosmetics. However, the quality of these products goes hand in hand with their trendiness. That's because hydrolates are natural toners. Essential oils, produced during the distillation process, have properties that are much safer to use (they do not cause irritation) due to their concentration of 0.01% - 0.04%.
