The Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum 2018 was dedicated to the fashion house's 30th anniversary, symbolizing timeless female elegance. Perfumer Richard Herpin, known for his work with Tom Ford, Van Cleef & Arpels, and other brands, helped create the scent. Encased in a faceted amethyst-colored bottle, the floral fragrance embodies the heart of magnolia. It was inspired by the blooming trees in the backyard of a Kentucky country house once owned by the fashion house's duo. "We've always been enchanted by these magnolia flowers, but we also loved the idea of creating a fragrance reminiscent of floral champagne," says James Mischka.
Top notes greet with a rich bouquet of white iris and pear tree flowers, diluted with the freshness of neroli and the barely detectable spiciness of pink pepper.
Middle notes reveal a floral composition with rich and refined jasmine and elegant green shades. The multifaceted scent is enhanced by soft magnolia, delicate peony, peachy-honey osmanthus, light tuberose, and sensual jasmine sambac.
Base notes almost completely transform the character of the fragrance, where the floral foundation is replaced by a warm trail of woody notes of sandalwood, musk, and amber, complemented by sweet coconut.
