Properties:
Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid derived from sugarcane. Thanks to its small molecular size, it has a high ability to penetrate cells. By inhibiting the connections of corneocytes, it increases moisture levels in the deep layers of the skin and enhances its elasticity. Being a hydrophobic substance, it spreads in the intercellular cement, suppressing the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans.
