15% Shikimic Acid is an organic chemical compound from the group of hydroxycarboxylic acids, derived from star anise. It enhances hydration and reduces TEWL (transepidermal water loss). It possesses anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. It provides an exfoliating effect without causing irritation.
